Job summary

VHB is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer/Project Manager to lead planning, analysis, design, and detailing for major bridge and transportation projects in a hybrid work environment. You will mentor staff, manage client relationships, and contribute to business development while ensuring quality and on-time delivery.

The role emphasizes constructability, resilience, and sustainability, with opportunities to lead multi-disciplinary teams and interface with architects, contractors, and owners

Qualifications

• 11-15 years’ experience required.
• BS in Civil Engineering (structural emphasis preferred) (1-2 years of experience can be substituted for a master's degree).
• PE license required.
• Experience completing transportation studies, design reports, final design documents and developing contract plans, in conformity with accepted engineering standards and procedures including AASHTO & MassDOT or other DOT's.
• Independent experience developing bridge design and detailing (steel, concrete, prestressed concrete), and seismic analysis.

Responsibilities

VHB is seeking a Senior Structural Engineer/Project Manager to join this dynamic group. In this position, you would serve in a lead role in the planning, analysis, design, and detailing of major bridge and transportation projects, as well as helping to lead and mentor our technical staff.

Responsibilities

Our best estimate of the salary range for this position located in Boston/Watertown, MA is $140,000-185,000+ and the position located in Worcester, MA is $130,000-180,000+. The final compensation will be based on a variety of factors such as individual qualifications, education, and experience.
