Job summary

Bala Consulting Engineers is seeking a motivated structural engineer with 5-8 years of experience for our Arlington VA office. The role involves design and as the structural E.O.R.

for building designs, plus providing consultations to clients and collaborating with MEP on infrastructure and fit-out projects. We seek candidates with a degree in structural engineering or civil with a structural emphasis, EIT certification (PE preferred), and 5–8 years of experience.

Qualifications

• Degree in structural engineering or civil with structural emphasis.
• EIT registration; PE preferred.
• 5–8 years of experience in structural design of buildings.
• Strong problem-solving and team collaboration.
• Interest in marketing and business development.

Responsibilities

• Design and serve as, or work with, the structural E.O.R. for building designs.
• Provide consultations to clients and prospective clients for structural work.
• Support MEP departments on infrastructure and fit-out projects.
• Adapt to various sectors including commercial, residential, industrial, institutional and retail.
• Pursue growth within Bala’s Structures group.
