Job summary

DCI Engineers in Seattle, WA invites a Structural Project Engineer to join our team. You will design, analyze, and support construction of diverse building projects, collaborating with BIM designers to produce construction documents and REVIT details.

You’ll assist PMs with shop drawings and RFIs while growing your technical expertise. We value mentorship, work-life balance, and ongoing learning as part of a supportive culture.

Qualifications

• 0-4 years of structural engineering experience related to building design.
• Working knowledge of steel, concrete, and wood design materials.
• Experience designing gravity framing and wind-resisting systems.
• Basic knowledge of AISC, ACI 318, IBC, ASCE 7 codes.
• Working knowledge of structural analysis software such as RISA 3D, RAM, ETABS, Enercalc, or similar.
• Ability to manage time and juggle multiple projects.
• Desire to provide excellent service and build client relationships.
• Effective communication skills.
• State-issued EIT certificate.
• ABET-accredited engineering degree (Master’s preferred).

Responsibilities

• Contribute to design, analysis, and construction support of building projects under PM supervision.
• Collaborate with BIM Designers to produce construction documents and draft details in REVIT.
• Assist with shop drawing reviews and RFIs for construction support.
• Ensure accuracy and attention to detail in all construction documents.
• Grow technical knowledge through project experience and continuing education.
• Develop and maintain client relationships.
