Job summary

Bartlett & West is seeking an entry-level to junior Structural Engineer to assist in designing projects in the structural focus areas. You will train under a Professional Engineer to grow technical knowledge for buildings, foundations, and related facilities.

The role includes preparing calculations, reports, and supporting contract administration; occasional site visits and industry engagement are expected. Travel may be required.

Qualifications

• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities.
• Willingness to travel in-state and out-of-state as needed.
• Bachelor's degree in architectural/structural engineering or related field; ABET-accredited preferred.

Responsibilities

• Assist in engineering analysis, designs, and calculations for structural projects under a PE mentor.
• Prepare design reports and participate in contract administration and construction submittals.
• Perform field observations, QA/QC, and materials testing as needed.
• Use structural analysis software to design and analyze projects and write technical documents.
