Energy Jobline ZR is seeking an experienced Structural & Miscellaneous Steel Detailer for a remote position. The ideal candidate will produce accurate shop and erection drawings, develop steel models with Tekla, and communicate clearly across multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.

The role requires at least five years of detailing experience, proficiency in Tekla, and strong knowledge of steel fabrication and AISC standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum five years of structural and miscellaneous steel detailing experience.
• Proficiency in Tekla strongly.
• Thorough knowledge of steel fabrication and erection processes.
• Ability to interpret architectural and structural drawings and specifications.
• Experience with PDF markup tools (Bluebeam).
• Fluency in English with excellent verbal and written communication.

Responsibilities

• Prepare shop and erection drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel components.
• Develop and maintain accurate steel models using Tekla or other detailing software.
• Interpret drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Identify missing information and RFIs.
• Ensure detailing follows AISC standards and project specs.
• Coordinate with project teams to incorporate markups and revisions.
• Prepare material lists and fabrication information.
• Communicate daily with project teams during EST business hours.
• Manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Experience: Minimum 5 Years

We are seeking an experienced Structural & Miscellaneous Steel Detailer to join our team in a remote employment position. The ideal candidate produces accurate, complete fabrication and erection drawings, communicates clearly, and manages multiple projects while meeting tight deadlines.

Key Responsibilities

• Prepare shop and erection drawings for structural and miscellaneous steel, including framing, stairs, handrails, ladders, and other steel components.
• Develop and maintain accurate steel models using Tekla or other detailing software.
• Interpret architectural and structural drawings, specifications, and project requirements.
• Identify missing information and drawing discrepancies, and prepare requests for information (RFIs).
• Ensure detailing work follows applicable AISC standards, project specifications, and fabricator requirements.
• Coordinate with checkers and project teams to incorporate markups, revisions, and approved changes.
• Prepare material lists and fabrication information as required.
• Communicate daily with project teams by phone and email during the hours of 8:00 AM–5:00 PM Eastern Time.
• Manage multiple projects while meeting established deadlines.
