Job summary

ICM Solutions seeks a mechanical/civil/structural engineer to size structures, design conveyors, and redraw components from field photos. Your drawings go straight to our shops, and you will collaborate with fabrication teams on fitting and welding challenges.

The role requires a bachelor’s degree in engineering, 3+ years in fabricating steel structures, and proficiency in 3D CAD with clean 2D drawings. On-site at Murray, Utah with regular shop and site visits.

Qualifications

• Degree in mechanical, civil, or structural engineering or equivalent experience.
• Experience designing fabricated steel structures or equipment that were built.
• Proficient in 3D CAD and producing clean fabrication drawings.

Responsibilities

• Design and calculate structural steel for stands, towers, catwalks, stairs, hoppers, and chutes.
• Size mechanical components: drives, sheaves, belts, bearings, shafts, takeups, guarding.
• Lay out conveyor arrangements and chutework under direction.
• Produce complete fabrication drawings and BOMs for shop fabrication.
• Support fabrication teams; answer questions and resolve fit/weld issues.
• Reverse engineer and redraw replacement parts from photos and measurements.
• Contribute reusable details to the standard library for future jobs.
• Visit shops and customer sites for verification and field measurement.
