Job summary

Walter P Moore invites motivated Civil Engineering students to join our Structural Internship. You will work with project teams on diverse architectural projects and gain exposure to professional development programs.

Qualified candidates are pursuing a BS in Civil Engineering (or have completed 24 credits toward it) and may be enrolled in a graduate program with a structural focus. EIT is preferred; a minimum of 20 hours per week is required for this internship.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or completion of a minimum of 24 engineering credits toward the BS in Civil Engineering.
• Accepted into or plans to apply for a graduate program in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
• EIT preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible scheduling but should be consistently available a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with project teams on architectural projects across commercial, sports, healthcare and public assembly buildings.
• Participate in Walter P Moore's in-house staff development program.

Responsibilities

We seek well prepared students of top engineering schools to expand their education in structural engineering through the internship program offered at Walter P Moore. As an engineering intern in our structural engineering group, you will participate on project teams for architectural projects of all types, including commercial, sports, healthcare, and public assembly buildings. You will also be eligible to participate in our in-house staff development program.

Qualifications

A sound technical background, strong communication skills and enthusiasm for the challenges of designing great structures are required.

• BS - Civil Engineering or completion of a minimum of 24 hours of engineering coursework towards BS in Civil Engineering
• Accepted in or plans to apply for graduate program in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis
• EIT preferred
