Job summary

Walter P Moore seeks engineering interns in its structural group to expand education while contributing to project teams across commercial, sports, healthcare, and public assembly buildings. You will also be eligible for the in-house staff development program to enhance your foundational skills.

Qualifications

• BS in Civil Engineering or completion of 24 credit hours toward BS in Civil Engineering.
• Graduate program in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
• EIT preferred.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
• Flexible scheduling with a minimum of 20 hours per week.

Responsibilities

Job description

We seek well prepared students of top engineering schools to expand their education in structural engineering through the internship program offered at Walter P Moore. As an engineering intern in our structural engineering group, you will participate on project teams for architectural projects of all types, including commercial, sports, healthcare, and public assembly buildings. You will also be eligible to participate in our in-house staff development program.

Qualifications

A sound technical background, strong communication skillsand enthusiasm for the challenges of designing great structures are required.

• BS - Civil Engineering or completion of a minimum of 24 hours of engineering coursework towards BS in Civil Engineering
• Accepted in or plans to apply for graduate program in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis
• EIT preferred
• Excellent verbal and written communication skill required
• Flexible scheduling but should be consistently available a minimum of 20 hours per week
