Job summary

A leading aerospace technology company is seeking a Structural Integrity Lead for its missile defense programs. This role involves leading technical execution, ensuring structural integrity, and working with cross-functional teams to define verification processes. Candidates should have over 10 years of experience in structural analysis and a Bachelor's degree in a relevant field. This position is hybrid with on-site requirements in California or Colorado.

Structural Integrity Lead, Missile Defense

Location: Denver, CO or Long Beach, CA

YOUR MISSION
RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead technical execution of a next‑generation missile defense program.
  • Establish and enforce processes and standards ensuring structural integrity across the SBI program.
  • Develop and validate structural models; manage structural margins across configurations; define and maintain fracture control, fatigue, creep, and damage tolerance methodologies.
  • Define and implement verification and test processes related to structural integrity.
QUALIFICATIONS

Required Qualifications & Experience

  • 10+ years experience developing and managing Fracture Control Plans and performing structural analysis using FEM methods.
  • Proven leadership in design, analysis, and verification on a major aerospace program.
  • Ability to scale analytical rigor to match program maturity and risk.
  • Ability to lead cross‑functional technical teams and coordinate across hardware and software boundaries.
  • Expertise with NASTRAN, ABAQUS, NASGRO or comparable analysis tools.
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Mechanical or Aerospace Engineering or related field; Master’s or Ph.D. preferred.
  • U.S. Citizen and eligible for DoD Secret clearance.

Desired Qualifications & Experience

  • Advanced degree in Aerospace, Mechanical, or Systems Engineering.
  • Experience with missile defense or space vehicle programs.
  • Strong track record leading cross‑functional engineering teams and managing design‑to‑delivery cycles.
  • Background in systems engineering or technical program management.
  • TS/SCI clearance.
COMPENSATION

Actual level and base salary will be determined on a case‑by‑case basis based on job‑related knowledge and skills, education, and experience.

ADDITIONAL REQUIREMENTS
  • Work Location: Successful candidates will be located near Denver or Colorado Springs. While we observe a hybrid work environment, some work must be done on site.
  • Work Environment: Temperature, noise level, and other factors that affect the person’s working conditions.
  • Physical Demands: Bending, sitting, lifting, and driving.
