Job summary

Beacon Kalamazoo Hospital, part of Beacon Health System, offers a one-year Structural Heart Disease Fellowship beginning July 1 and ending June 30 of the following year. The program emphasizes high-risk PCI (CHIP, CTO) and a broad range of structural heart interventions including PFO, ASD, VSD, TAVR, MitraClip, and Watchman.

Fellows will train with Cerner EMR and participate in a comprehensive care continuum, under ABIM board-certified guidance to advance interventional cardiology expertise.

Qualifications

• Completion of previous accredited interventional cardiology fellowship training is required.
• Completion and passing of all three USMLE steps.
• ABIM board certified or board eligible in interventional cardiology by the start of the program year.
• The accepted applicant must obtain a full Michigan license.
• A valid ECFMG certificate for all foreign medical graduates.

Responsibilities

• Fellowship focuses on high‑risk PCI (CHIP & CTO) and a significant volume of structural heart procedures (PFO, ASD, VSD, Valvuloplasty, TAVR, MitraClip, Watchman, AngioVac, Alcohol Septal Ablation).
• Program runs for one year from July 1 to June 30 of the subsequent year.
• Fellows gain experience with Cerner EMR and comprehensive health records system integration.
