Qualifications

• PE license required.
• Degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or closely related field (advanced degree preferred).
• 8+ years of experience.
• Experience with forensic structural engineering investigations related to buildings, structures, and infrastructure systems.
• Experience with client development and project management; experience with insurance and legal sector clients is a plus.
• Experience leading teams and/or mentoring staff.

Responsibilities

• Conduct forensic investigations of structural systems, including buildings, bridges, and other civil/structural infrastructure.
• Perform site inspections, field testing, and data collection to determine the cause of structural issues or failures.
• Analyze structural performance using calculations, modeling, and applicable building codes and standards.
• Develop detailed technical reports outlining findings, conclusions, and recommended solutions.
• Design repair or remediation plans and oversee implementation during construction phases.
• Provide expert witness testimony, when required, for litigation or insurance claims.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams, contractors, and clients to resolve complex structural problems.

Position Overview:

Salary Range:

$100k - $200k base salary (commensurate with the level of experience and expertise of the candidate)
