Job summary

AECOM is actively seeking Structural Engineers and Designers of all levels to work on projects throughout the southern US. Candidates can expect to engage in alternative delivery projects, including mega-projects, and will participate in a hybrid work environment based out of local AECOM offices.

Qualifications include a BS Degree in Engineering, with varied experience based on the level of position applied for. The company offers extensive benefits to support its diverse workforce.

Qualifications

  • Structural CAD Designers need a BS Degree or equivalent experience.
  • Junior Level Engineers require a BS in Engineering + 2 years related experience.
  • Mid-Level Engineers must have BS in Engineering + 6 years experience.
  • Senior Level Engineers/Task Leads need a BS in Engineering + 10 years experience.

Responsibilities

  • Work on alternative delivery projects, including mega-projects.
  • Develop design packages for bridge design projects.
  • Engage in various aspects of bridge design.

Summary

We are enthusiastically searching for all levels of Structural Engineers and Designers throughout the southern US. Selected candidates can expect to work on alternative delivery projects, including mega‑projects.

Desired skillsets
  • Design/Build or Alternative Delivery project experience
  • Experience or interest in developing design packages for bridge design projects
  • Experience with Bentley Microstation and Open Roads
  • Familiar with bridge design software, including Bentley Suite, CSiBridge, Midas, PGSuper, MDX, and VBent
  • Experience in all types of retaining wall design
  • Experience in all aspects of bridge design, including, but not limited to: Prestressed beams & steel girders superstructure design; concrete multi‑column, hammerhead, and straddle bent substructures – conventionally reinforced and post‑tensioned; foundation design (using spread footings, drilled shafts, and HPiles)
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
  • Structural CAD Designers: BS Degree or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
  • Junior Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 2 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
  • Mid‑Level Engineers: BS in Engineering + 6 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
  • Senior Level Engineers / Task Leads: BS in Engineering + 10 years of related experience or demonstrated equivalency of education and/or experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • EIT Certification or PE License
  • State DOT experience
