Job summary

HOK is seeking an intern to support civic/structural engineering tasks under close supervision, applying standard techniques and criteria. The role involves working with the project team to develop drawings, organize documents, and contribute to timely project delivery while promoting sustainable practices.

As an intern, you will gain exposure to multiple software tools and participate in mentoring programs, benefit from a hybrid work environment, and enjoy generous time off and health benefits

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in civic/structural engineering or related degree program.
• Previous internship with an engineering or architectural design firm preferred.

Responsibilities

• Performs elementary structural engineering assignments and works from designs of others.
• Develops, modifies and/or reviews drawings.
• Organizes and maintains documents for specific projects.
• Works closely with project team and assists to complete projects on aggressive schedules.
• Takes personal responsibility for fostering a green workplace through sustainable work practices.
• Fosters a commitment to external and internal client service.
