Job summary

The Walbec Group is seeking an experienced Senior Structural Engineer to oversee the design and permitting of commercial and industrial projects in Wisconsin. You will lead an engineering team, coordinate with stakeholders, manage budgets, and ensure all work adheres to code requirements, quality standards and safety practices.

The Position

This role involves overseeing, directing and executing structural engineering designs and permitting efforts for a range of commercial and industrial sector projects.

Requirements

• 8+ years of experience with structural concrete, steel and retaining structure rehabilitation design.
• Professional Engineering licensure.
• Proficiency in industry standard structural analysis and building code analysis.
• Deep understanding of building construction techniques and experience with structural framing systems.
• Proven ability to manage cross-functional teams, external partners, and multiple complex projects simultaneously.
• Understanding of business objectives, financial management and market dynamics.
• Collaborative and supportive personal communication style.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Experience building and mentoring teams of high performing technical people.
