Job summary

DHD Consulting seeks an ambitious Structural Engineering Intern in Atlanta to work with seasoned engineers on industrial and commercial building projects and earth retention structures.

You will gain hands-on experience preparing structural plans, performing calculations, and researching products while adhering to codes and specifications. Collaboration and creativity are encouraged in a dynamic team environment.

Qualifications

• Currently pursuing a bachelors or masters degree from an accredited university.
• Major in Structural Engineering or Civil Engineering with a Structural Emphasis.
• Minimum GPA of 3.2.
• Demonstrates integrity and ethical work practices.
• Assist in preparing proposals and statements of qualification.
• Conduct product research and document compliance with functional and code requirements.
• Write concise basis of design specifications for technical drawings.
• Respond to plan review comments during the permitting process.
• Participate in industrial and commercial building design projects and earth retention structures.
• Prepare structural calculations to support project requirements.
• Collaborate with team members on new ideas and innovations.

Additional Information

The Structural Engineering Internship is based in Atlanta, GA, and offers a competitive pay range of $20 to $22 per hour. This is a full-time position requiring 40 hours per week. Please note that interns are not eligible for additional company benefits.
