Job summary

WSP USA hosts hundreds of internships across the United States to gain hands‑on, meaningful work experience and exposure to real projects. Our Property & Buildings Team is seeking a full‑time Structural Engineering Intern – Summer 2027 to work out of our North Providence, RI or Boston, MA offices.

This internship targets students enrolled in undergraduate or graduate programs for a 12‑week period starting May 17, 2027.

Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an accredited Civil/Structural Engineering undergraduate or graduate program with anticipated graduation Aug 2027 or later.
• Must be 18 years or older.
• Demonstrated interest in structural engineering and desire to develop skills related to WSP's projects.
• Basic proficiency with technical writing, office software, and common engineering tools.

Responsibilities

• Support a variety of engineering tasks to develop technical, social, and ethical skills.
• Learn basic principles of Structural Engineering.
• Assist with project research, field work, and preliminary design calculations and analyses.
• Support preparation of final design plans, provisions, and cost estimates.
• Assist in collecting and maintaining project documentation.
• Complete training on assigned tasks.
• Adhere to WSP's Code of Conduct and policies.
