KPFF Consulting Engineers, a long-standing design firm with offices nationwide, seeks a Structural Engineering Intern. The role offers hands-on exposure to structural design, calculations, and construction documents under guidance from seasoned engineers.

Open to seniors and MS students, the internship is non-exempt with a 40-hour workweek and a hybrid schedule including some in-office training in Downtown Los Angeles and Irvine.

Qualifications

  • Completed bachelor’s degree in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structures or Architectural Engineering.
  • Transcripts must show courses in Structural Analysis, Mechanics of Materials, and Steel or Wood Design.
  • Prior internship or project work in structural engineering is a plus.

Responsibilities

  • Assist in preparation of calculations and construction documents under project leaders.
  • Participate in project meetings and site visits to gain practical exposure.
  • Support senior engineers on real-world projects and learn daily workflow.
