Job summary

Walker Consultants seeks a Structural Engineering Intern to gain hands-on experience designing large, complex structures and to work with a multidisciplinary team across projects affecting the built environment. You will engage with project engineers, architects, and planners on major parking structures and other developments.

The role offers exposure to design calculations, BIM modeling, field visits, and collaboration with experienced professionals, reporting to senior leadership.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Civil/Structural Engineering, Engineering, or Architectural/Engineering Technology.
• 0–5 years of previous structural design experience.
• Familiarity with Revit is preferred; experience with AutoCAD/Microsoft Office/Project is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural designs and construction documents with engineers and architects.
• Assist with design calculations for superstructures, foundations and soil-retention systems.
• Develop and coordinate 3D building models using Revit/BIM.
