Job summary

Walter P Moore invites students of top engineering schools to join its structural internship program. As an engineering intern in our structural group, you will participate on project teams for architectural projects across commercial, sports, healthcare, and public assembly buildings, while benefiting from in-house staff development opportunities.

The internship requires Civil Engineering coursework credit or a BS toward a degree, with EIT preferred and 20+ hours per week availability.

Qualifications

  • Accepted in or plans to apply for graduate program in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis.
  • EIT preferred.

Responsibilities




We seek well prepared students of top engineering schools to expand their education in structural engineering through the internship program offered at Walter P Moore. As an engineering intern in our structural engineering group, you will participate on project teams for architectural projects of all types, including commercial, sports, healthcare, and public assembly buildings. You will also be eligible to participate in our in-house staff development program.






Qualifications




A sound technical background, strong communication skills and enthusiasm for the challenges of designing great structures are required.

    BS - Civil Engineering or completion of a minimum of 24 hours of engineering coursework towards BS in Civil Engineering
  • Accepted in or plans to apply for graduate program in Civil Engineering with structural emphasis
  • EIT preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skill required
  • Flexible scheduling but should be consistently available a minimum of 20 hours per week

The actual offered salary will be dependent on the candidate's knowledge, skills, abilities, geographic location, industry experience and internal equity. $26.45 - $36.80/Hr. In NYC
$25.30 - $35.20/Hr. in LA & Wash. DC
$24.15 - $33.60/Hr. in San Deigo & Chicago
$23 - $32/Hr. in Denver
