Job summary

Engineering Services & Products Company is seeking interns to join the creative team of Structural Engineers and support staff. You will contribute to the engineering and design of buildings and related products while gaining hands-on learning opportunities and invaluable industry knowledge.

You will work with different departments and outside vendors to identify solutions, learning macros/VBA in Excel and using RISA-3D for client projects.

Qualifications

• Degree in progress in structural or civil engineering.
• Basic experience with structural analysis software.
• Basic knowledge of structural analysis; steel design a plus.
• Effective communication and ability to work in teams or alone.
• Familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7 and AISC Manual.
• Experience with CAD software (AutoCAD) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Gain familiarity with IBC, ASCE 7, AISC Steel Construction Manual.
• Learn and utilize structural analysis software (RISA-3D) and Excel.
• Contribute to engineering tasks and collaborate with vendors to identify solutions.
• Maintain clear information on project goals, time/costs and progress.
