Job summary

A mid-size consulting engineering firm is seeking a Structural Engineering intern to support design and construction administration for institutional and commercial projects. You will perform engineering calculations, assist with construction documentation, and enjoy a flexible work culture with unique social events and work-from-home options. Candidates should have completed at least two years of a Bachelor of Science in Structural Engineering and possess strong communication skills.

Qualifications

• At least two years completed toward earning a Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering.
• Must possess excellent oral and written communication skills.
• Efficient in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Familiar with AutoCAD.
• Possess a good work ethic and be efficient in job duties.

Responsibilities

• Perform engineering calculations including building loads, lateral and gravity design of building systems.
• Assist in office construction administration including review of shop drawings and coordinate with contractors.

Skills

Excellent oral and written communication skills

Proficiency in Microsoft Word

Proficiency in Microsoft Excel

Familiarity with AutoCAD

Education

Bachelor of Science degree in Structural Engineering (at least two years completed)
