Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural Engineering Intern/Co-Op to gain real-world experience on exciting transportation projects. You will connect with recent graduates and leaders through mentoring programs, applying standard engineering techniques under supervision.

Must be enrolled in a Civil/Structural Engineering program with CAD skills. Strong problem-solving and communication abilities, plus basic MS Office, are required to thrive in HDR's employee-owned culture.

Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Civil or structural engineering program.
• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with a 3.0+ GPA.
• CAD knowledge and skills are preferred.

Primary Responsibilities

In the role of Structural Engineering Intern/Co-Op, we'll count on you to:

• Offer real-world experience on exciting projects
• Connect with recent college graduates and our company leaders through mentoring and young professionals programs
• Apply standard engineering techniques and procedures
• Perform assignments under the direct supervision of a professional or Project Manager
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Must be currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Civil Engineering or structural engineering related program
• CAD knowledge and skills
• Either Steel or Concrete Design coursework completed
• Prefer 2 years completed toward degree with 3.0+ GPA

Required Qualifications

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate or graduate Engineering program
• Possess strong problem-solving and communication skills
• Basic Microsoft Office skills
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
