Coffman Engineers is seeking dynamic and innovative Structural Engineering Interns for full-time during the summer months of 2027. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your chosen field!

The ideal candidate will be a student who wishes to increase their knowledge of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures, learn about computer analysis software systems, and work in a professional fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of required courses completed towards an undergraduate degree in architectural, structural, or civil engineering with an emphasis on structures.
• Ability to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel preferred.

Job Description

We are seeking dynamic and innovative Structural Engineering Interns for full-time during the summer months of 2027. This is a great opportunity to learn more about your chosen field! The ideal candidate will be a student who wishes to increase their knowledge of commercial, institutional, and industrial structures, learn about computer analysis software systems, and work in a professional fast-paced environment.

Essential Duties And Responsibilities

• Work semi-independently.
• Possess basic level computer skills necessary for daily activities including email, word processing, spreadsheets, graphics, and a working knowledge of computer-aided drafting.
• Perform other duties as may be assigned.

Qualifications

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES

• Able to multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
• Possess strong critical thinking, organizational, and analytical abilities (or demonstrate ability to develop such abilities).
• Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication skills.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook, Word and Excel preferred.
• Positive contributor to overall office and department goals, culture, and morale.

Education/Experience

• Minimum 3 years of required courses completed towards an undergraduate degree in architectural engineering, structural engineering, or civil engineering with an emphasis on structures.

Expected hourly range of $25-30 (depending on years of education and experience).
