Job summary

Centerline is seeking a Structural Engineer to evaluate telecom towers and foundations, and to design solutions for rooftops and mounts. You will collaborate with CAD teams, perform analyses, and ensure safety compliance across projects in North America.

This role requires a civil/structural engineering degree, a licensed SE, and AutoCAD/RISA 3D experience. Travel is required and benefits include medical, vision, dental, and a 401(k).

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in civil or structural engineering required.
  • Master's degree in civil or structural engineering preferred.
  • SE license required.
  • 2+ years' AutoCAD experience preferred.
  • Knowledge of TIA/EIA-222 and ASCE 7, ACI, AISC, NDS.
  • Willingness to travel for job-related functions.

Responsibilities

  • Evaluate service requests and ensure information sufficiency.
  • Examine tower structures and foundations across configurations.
  • Analyze designs for rooftops, platforms, water tanks and mounts.
  • Perform analyses of varying complexity using calculations and software.
  • Collaborate with admin and CAD teams to finalize docs.
  • Contribute to telecommunications infrastructure modifications and reinforcements.
  • Adhere to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior engineers.
  • Prepare mandated engineering calculation reports.
  • Stay updated on telecommunications engineering trends.
  • Conduct quality control reviews of engineering services.
  • Travel as required.

Job description

  • Evaluate service requests to ensure they contain sufficient information for completion.
  • Examine tower structures and foundations across existing, proposed, and tenant configurations.
  • Analyze or design solutions for rooftops, elevated platforms, water tanks and their mount systems.
  • Conduct analyses on projects with low-to-high complexity using manual calculations, structural software, and approved methods.
  • Collaborate with administrative and CAD teams to finalize necessary documentation.
  • Contribute to the design of telecommunications infrastructure modifications, reinforcements, and foundations.
  • Adhere strictly to safety protocols and OSHA regulations.
  • Provide guidance and training to junior engineers.
  • Address structure-related inquiries from internal and external stakeholders.
  • Prepare mandated engineering calculation reports.
  • Stay updated on emerging technical advancements and trends in telecommunications engineering.
  • Conduct thorough quality control reviews of engineering services.
  • Support with additional tasks as delegated.

Expected compensation includes 110,000-140,000 per year and benefits including medical, vision, and dental benefits, and 401k retirement plan available for eligible employees. Compensation offered may vary depending on factors such as an individual's education, training, experience, skills, geographic location, seniority, merit, and other factors that are job related and consistent with business need.
