Job summary

Goff Engineering in SW Colorado is seeking a Project Civil Engineer (PE-1) with 3-5 years of civil experience to develop and coordinate design efforts for potable water, sanitation, site grading, roadways, and stormwater projects. You will manage schedules, coordinate with clients and agencies, and mentor staff in a collaborative environment.

A Bachelor's in civil engineering is required; PE in Colorado or the ability to obtain licensure within 1 year, proficiency in Civil 3D, and strong

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering or a related field.
  • 3-5 years of professional experience in civil engineering, preferably with project management experience.
  • Minimum 3 years’ experience with engineering design.
  • Proficiency in Civil 3D and other relevant civil engineering software.
  • Experience with reviewing agency permitting criteria.
  • Strong understanding of civil engineering principles and construction methods.
  • Excellent organizational and project management skills with the ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Effective communication and leadership skills.
  • Professional Engineer (PE) in Colorado or the ability to obtain licensure in CO within 1 year of hire date.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications: Word, Excel, and Outlook.

Responsibilities

  • Design and prepare construction plans for new/renovated infrastructure improvements (potable water, sanitary sewer, site grading, roadway corridor, and stormwater infrastructure).
  • Coordinate with clients, contractors, and government agencies to ensure project requirements are understood and achieved.
  • Develop quantity takeoff and cost estimates.
  • Develop and/or review engineering plans and ensure the technical completeness and accuracy of drawings and specifications.
  • Perform varied and complex civil engineering analyses to support efficient solutions.
  • Monitor and prioritize project deadlines.
  • Mentor and direct support staff.
  • Attend and participate in project meetings with the design team, clients, and/or reviewing agencies.
  • Ensure compliance with local, state, and federal regulations, including environmental and safety standards.

#### Project Civil Engineer (PE-1)We are looking for a skilled and driven Project Civil Engineer with 3-5 years’ experience to develop and coordinate design efforts for various civil engineering projects. The successful candidate will have knowledge of basic civil infrastructure design criteria and be capable of performing a variety of civil engineering work including grading, drainage, and utility design.Requires application of standard engineering techniques and procedures and professional judgment to execute complex solutions. Must have the ability to manage project schedules, to ensure that projects are delivered on time, within scope, and in compliance with relevant standards.
