Kimley-Horn is seeking a Civil Engineer in Morristown, NJ with 4+ years of experience to join the Parking Structures team. This is not a remote position, and you will lead project activities, develop comprehensive structural drawings, and mentor EITs.

You will perform design calculations, coordinate with clients and the project team, and contribute to business development through networking. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for success.

Formación

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience.
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Revit, and SketchUp; strong drawing/detailing skills as needed.
• Experience with structural analysis and design software such as STAAD, RAM, ETABS, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, or similar tools.
• Ability to meet deadlines with urgency and maintain a quality-driven approach.
• Detail-oriented team player with ability to multitask across projects.
• Strong communication, leadership, and commitment to staff development.

Overview

Kimley-Horn's Morristown, NJ office is seeking a Civil Engineer with 4+ years of experience to join their Parking Structures team! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Assist with the management and leading of projects
• Develop full sets of structural drawings and technical specifications without guidance
• Train and mentor Engineers-In-Training (EITs) in structural engineering
• Perform structural design calculations, plan production activities, and prepare project document submittal packages, while maintaining a Quality Control program for the entire project
• Lead and provide support for construction phase efforts on building projects in structural engineering
• Support and participate in meetings and presentations with clients, contractors, and design team members
• Contribute to identifying project opportunities through networking with new and existing clients

Qualifications

• 4+ years of relevant engineering design experience
• Professional Engineering (P.E.) License (or ability to obtain within 12 months)
• Knowledge and experience in AutoCAD, Revit, and Sketchup with some ability to produce drawings and details, when needed
• Knowledge and experience in structural analysis and design software, such as STAAD, RAM, E-Tabs, MathCAD, TEDDS, ADAPT PT, and other structural related design software
• Strong sense of urgency and self-discipline to meet client deadlines
• Detail-oriented team player with an ability to contribute to a positive work environment
• Ability to multi-task and work on a variety of projects concurrently
• Excellent communication, leadership, and technical skills with a continuous mindset on personal and staff development
• Positive, can-do attitude and a strong work ethic
