Job summary

Gresham Smith in Nashville, TN is seeking a Structural Engineer-In-Training to join our team. You will perform analysis and design for concrete, structural steel, and masonry, collaborating with engineers across disciplines to deliver projects for facilities and infrastructure.

The ideal candidate has a Civil Engineering degree with a structural focus, at least two years of design experience, FE exam passed, and proficiency with REVIT.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's in Civil Engineering with Structural focus; graduate degree a plus.
• Minimum of 2 years structural design/consulting experience.
• Experience with REVIT and structural design tools preferred.
• Programming knowledge (Python, VBA, Dynamo) is a plus.
• FE exam passed.

Responsibilities

• Perform analysis and design for concrete, structural steel and masonry structures.
• Coordinate work with other team members.
• Contribute to drawings in a BIM environment.
• Collaborate with multi-disciplinary professionals.

About You

We're looking for someone who has:

• Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering with a focus in Structural Engineering. Graduate degree with a focus in Structural Engineering is a plus.


• Minimum of 2 years of experience of structural design and consulting experience


• Prefer experience using REVIT and other structural design tools.


• Programming knowledge (Python, VBA, Dynamo, etc.) a plus


• Passed F.E exam


• Proactive and well-organized


• Desire to learn

As a graduate engineer, you will work as part of a team developing structural solutions for a wide variety of projects. This may include manufacturing facilities, hospitals, airports, commercial buildings, and environmental structures.

About the Role

As a Structural Engineer-In-Training, you will:
