Job summary

SOHA Structural Engineers in San Francisco seeks a Structural Engineer to lead design and coordination across multiple projects. You will mentor engineers, develop construction documents, and coordinate with design principals and project managers on technical strategies.

The role emphasizes strong fundamentals in analysis, design and detailing with ownership of projects and a collaborative, growth-oriented environment.

Qualifications

  • 5+ years of structural engineering design and analysis experience preferred.
  • Master’s degree preferred; bachelor’s required.
  • CA PE license required; Structural license preferred.
  • Strong fundamentals in analysis, design and detailing.

Responsibilities

  • Lead day-to-day design, construction and coordination activities with the team.
  • Communicate with principals and project managers on technical concepts.
  • Lead preparation of construction documents and cross-discipline coordination.
  • Manage multiple projects and ensure on-time delivery.

SOHA Structural Engineers is currently hiring for multiple positions for the role of Structural Engineer to join our team in San Francisco.

Responsibilities
  • Lead day-to-day design, construction and coordination activities, working with the engineering and drafting staff.
  • Effectively communicate with the Design Principals and Sr. Project Managers + other design team members for clear and concise project-related technical concepts and methods.
  • Lead the preparation of the construction documents and other discipline’s coordination.
  • Ability to work on multiple projects, simultaneously.
  • Assist in quality control and project time management financials.
Qualifications
  • 5+ years of structural engineering design and analysis experience preferred
  • Master’s degree in civil or structural engineering is preferred; a bachelor’s degree is required.
  • Professional Civil Engineer license in California required: Structural Engineer license in California is preferred.
  • Strong fundamentals with a technical background in analysis, design, and detailing.
  • Experience with software: ETABS, SAP, SAFE, RISA, Perform 3D, Excel, Mathcad, Revit, AutoCad

Base Salary Range: 135k-165k depending on experience, skill set, education and licensing
