Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering, Structural Engineering, Architectural Engineering, or related field.
• 1+ year of experience; experience with buildings is a plus.
• Familiarity with building codes and industry standards is a plus.
• Experience with investigative engineering and forensic analysis is a plus.
• Proficiency in structural analysis software; familiarity with Risa 3D, Enercalc and Woodworks is a plus.
• Excellent communication and project management skills; ability to manage multiple projects and meet deadlines.

Responsibilities

• Develop structural designs and calculations for low-rise commercial and industrial buildings.
• Coordinate with drafting staff using CAD/BIM to create detailed drawings and specs.
• Conduct site visits to assess existing conditions and support investigative efforts.
• Collaborate with architects, contractors, and stakeholders to ensure design integrity and code compliance.
• Review construction documents, shop drawings, and product submittals.
• Provide technical support during construction phases and address structural issues.
