Job summary

MSKTD & ASSOCIATES in Fort Wayne seeks a qualified Structural Engineer to join our multi-discipline team. You will work on advanced manufacturing, higher education, healthcare, and civic projects across Indiana and the United States, collaborating with architects and engineers to develop top-quality designs.

  • Licensed Structural Engineer (PE or SE) with 6+ years of experience.
  • Proficiency with Revit and AutoCAD; RAM structural analysis is preferred.
  • Experience with structural steel and concrete foundation design; code knowledge.

Responsibilities

  • Coordinate with design teams to determine design criteria and restraints.
  • Prepare structural design calculations and existing structure analysis.
  • Write reports and produce construction documents and specifications.
  • Provide construction administration support.
  • Occasional site visits to evaluate progress or collect field data.

Overview

Our Fort Wayne headquarters is seeking a qualified Structural Engineer.

In this role, you will have the opportunity to work in a casual work environment and make a real impact on the design of advanced manufacturing, higher education, healthcare, and civic structures in Indiana and throughout the United States. Working in our collaborative environment with architectural, civil, structural, mechanical, electrical, landscape, and interiors staff supports project success and broadened individual professional development.

Responsibilities and Requirements
  • You must have a Structural Engineering License (PE or SE) and a minimum of six (6) years of experience in structural engineering.
  • Proficiency with Revit and/or AutoCAD is important, and structural design software such as RAM is preferred.
  • Typical responsibilities include coordinating with design teams, preparing structural design calculations, existing structure analysis, report writing, producing construction documents, writing specifications, and performing construction administration.
  • Proficiency in structural steel and concrete foundation design is a must.
  • Additionally, design skills utilizing steel joists, metal deck, concrete masonry, and wood are regularly required.
  • Familiarity with the International Building Code, ASCE 7, and material codes is essential.
  • Strong communication, time management, and organizational skills are a must.
  • The ideal candidate can interact with the design team to determine design criteria and restraints.
