Description

The Consulting Engineers Group is seeking an experienced Structural Engineer with 4+ years of structural engineering experience to join its Albuquerque, NM team. The position can report to the Albuquerque office, be REMOTE or HYBRID. Candidates should reside in the United States.

RESPONSIBILITIES
  • Lead a small team of engineers, BIM modelers, and drafters.
  • Continually monitor project budgets and manpower with regular reporting of project status to CEG Management team.
  • Develop job proposals and monitor project budgets.
  • Build relationships with existing clients and help establish new clients.
  • Direct communication with external design professionals, including Architects and Contractors.
  • Oversee development of plans and calculations to maintain quality control.
  • Perform calculations in software such as Mathcad, Excel, RISA 3D, and other specialized component design programs on an as need basis.

REQUIRED
  • Bachelor’s Degree in Civil Engineering with Structural emphasis.
  • PE license (or ability to obtain within 12 months).
  • Minimum 4 years of relevant experience.
  • Must be highly detail oriented with excellent organization skills.
  • Ability to interact with customers, managers, engineers, drafters, and other employees.
  • Ability to lead a team of engineers, BIM modelers, and drafters.
  • Familiarity with building codes such as IBC, ASCE7, ACI318, and AISC Steel Manual.
PREFERRED
  • Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
  • Knowledge and experience with AutoCAD and Revit.
