Barge Design Solutions, Inc. in the United States seeks a licensed Structural Engineer to lead the structural design for Mission Critical/Data Center projects as Engineer of Record.

You will mentor junior staff, coordinate with multidisciplinary teams, and ensure designs meet codes, budgets, and schedules.

This role requires PE and SE (preferred), 8+ years of experience, and a track record delivering large-scale projects.

Qualificações

• ABET-accredited civil engineering degree with a focus on structures.
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering strongly preferred.
• Active PE registration; SE registration strongly preferred.
• 8+ years engineering experience; 10+ preferred.
• Experience with Mission Critical/Data Center projects.
• Proficiency with Autodesk Revit; Microsoft Office Suite.

Responsabilidades

• Serves as Structural Lead and Engineer of Record for projects.
• Performs and oversees structural analysis and design of steel, concrete, masonry, and foundation structures.
• Directs and mentors junior engineers and structural designers, providing technical guidance and quality control.
• Prepares and reviews calculations, drawings, specifications, and technical reports for accuracy and constructability.
• Coordinates with architects, contractors, and other engineering disciplines to ensure integrated project delivery.
• Provides technical guidance on project scope, budgets, and schedules for assignments.
• Conducts site visits and construction observations to support design intent and resolve field issues.
• Completes assignments within budget and schedule while working with design teams involving multiple disciplines.
• Provides career development mentoring to early-career engineers.
• Assists in client contact and communication, and attends client meetings.
• Stays current with applicable codes, standards, and best practices, and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives.
• Performs other duties as required.

Education & Experience Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree in civil engineering with a focus onStructures from an ABET accredited university
• Master’s degree in Structural Engineering stronglypreferred
• Proven track record of managing large-scale projectsfrom concept to completion
• Active Professional Engineer (PE) registration
• Structural Engineer (SE) registration stronglypreferred
• Minimum of 8 years of engineering experience, 10+ yearspreferred
• Experience with Mission Critical/Data Center projects

Skills:

• Ability to read, analyze, andinterpret job-related manuals and documents
• Proficiency with MicrosoftOffice Suite
• Experience with AutodeskRevit
• Strong knowledge of buildingcodes (IBC, ASCE, AISC, ACI)
• Excellent communication,leadership, and problem-solving skills
