Job summary

Krech Ojard & Associates, a North American engineering firm, seeks an experienced Structural Engineer for its Portsmouth team. The role focuses on design, construction, and maintenance of complex structures, with opportunities to lead projects for multinational clients and to mentor EITs.

The candidate will perform analyses, prepare calculations, and travel up to 25% to job sites. A PE license or path to licensure, 2–10 years of relevant experience, and proficiency with major structural software

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s Degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Professional Engineer license or in the process to obtain
• 2–10 years of post-graduate experience in structural engineering
• Knowledge of advanced structural engineering principles and practices
• Deliver high-quality, well-organized documents to clients
• Proficiency in AutoCAD, Revit, Robot Structural Analysis, RISA, Bluebeam, Navisworks or similar
• Ability to communicate effectively with colleagues, clients and supervision
• Consulting engineering experience; travel up to 25% and valid driver’s license

Responsibilities

• Analysis and design of structural systems and components
• Knowledge of building and non-building structures and systems
• Develop and review plans, details, calculations, and specifications
• Direct Engineers-in-Training and technicians in preparing documentation
• Site observations and inspections of construction projects
• Prepare reports and oral presentations for internal and client use
• Maintain budget and deadlines to client satisfaction
• Collaborate across multidisciplinary teams
