Job summary

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering.
• Requires a Professional Engineer license (PE) recognized by the local licensing board.
• Previous structural engineer experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar tools.
• Experience with an architectural/engineering or engineering consulting firm is preferred.
• Commitment to HDR's employee-owned culture and collaboration.

Responsibilities

• Review structural documents for conflicts with other disciplines.
• Write and edit structural specifications, select procedures and sizes, perform calculations.
• Coordinate the structural design team through design development and CD phases.
• Participate in meetings with agencies for code compliance.
• Lead design development and site work sessions with PM and other disciplines.
• Coordinate workload to complete documents on schedule.
• Assist with addenda, RFIs, change proposals, change orders and incorporate changes.
• Perform other duties as needed.
