Job summary

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Structural Engineer in our Seattle office with four to eight years of experience to help design commercial and industrial structures. You will join a multi-discipline engineering team and contribute to projects from concept through construction.

The position offers a competitive salary ($90,000–$120,000), comprehensive benefits including annual bonuses, a flexible PTO program, and opportunities for professional growth. Sponsorship is not available for this role.

Qualifications

• 4 to 8 years of experience in the structural design of buildings or similar structures.
• Bachelor's degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or related field; Master’s preferred.
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE) and active status.

Coffman Engineers is seeking a Structural Engineer with four to eight years of experience to assist in the design of commercial and industrial structures for our Seattle office. The successful candidate will be enthusiastic and have a desire to work and grow with a multi-discipline engineering team.

This position is not eligible for sponsorship.

Qualifications

• A four-year degree in Civil/Structural Engineering or a related field
  • Master's Degree in Structural Engineering (preferred)
• Registration as a Professional Engineer (PE)
• 4 to 8 years of experience in the structural design of buildings or similar structures
• Experience with computer software programs and analysis systems (such as Microsoft Office, Revit, RISA, ETABS, etc.)
• Design experience with various materials – steel and concrete; masonry, wood and light gauge (preferred)
• Knowledge and experience with the International Building Code (IBC) and US design standards; experience with ASCE 41 (preferred)
• Excellent leadership, supervisory, and writing and verbal communication skills
• Experience and ability to maintain working relationships with clients
• Experience as a project manager (preferred)
• Experience working as part of a multi-discipline team (preferred)

Expected annual salary of $90,000 - $120,000.
