Job summary

CHA Consulting, Inc. in Albany, NY is seeking a Structural Engineer to join our Architecture & Structural Team.

You will support planning, analysis, and design for building projects, perform calculations, and help develop construction documents while participating in field activities. Qualifications include a Civil/Structural Engineering degree, no experience required (internships accepted), and familiarity with Revit, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Civil or Structural Engineering required.
• No experience required; internships and/or relevant coursework preferred.
• Familiarity with engineering software such as Revit, AutoCAD, and MicroStation.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.
• Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team.
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the design, development, and implementation of structural solutions for building projects.
• Support senior engineers in preparing technical reports, construction documents, and cost estimates.
• Perform calculations and design tasks using applicable building codes, industry standards, and engineering best practices.
• Participate in field assignments with senior staff to gain hands-on experience in structural assessments, evaluations, and design implementation.

What You'll Do:

• Excellent communication skills and a desire to work in a collaborative team
• Participation in professional engineering society/organization preferred
• Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification a plus

Salary Range:

$70,000 - $78,000

Salary is based on a variety of factors, including, but not limited to, qualifications, experience, education, licenses, specialty, training, and fair market evaluation based on industry standards.
