St. Germain & Aupperle Consulting Engineers, PLLC, in business for 57 years, is a structural engineering and consulting firm specializing in the structural design of buildings and other structures. The firm has extensive experience in the design of structural steel, timber, reinforced and pre-stressed concrete building structures for new construction and for renovations and additions to existing buildings. We are seeking a structural engineer.

Job Description:

This Position involves the structural design of commercial, industrial, and residential buildings, among other structures. Responsibilities include the design of steel, reinforced concrete, masonry and wood structures. Such responsibilities include performing engineering calculations; developing and reviewing design drawing and specifications; working with AutoCAD/Revit drafters to develop design drawings and specifications for construction; developing client reports and proposals; reviewing contractor shop drawings, request for information (RFI's), contractor bids and change orders; developing cost estimates of structural work components for projects and performing other assignment related tasks.

Qualifications:

We are seeking a full time Structural Engineer with a minimum of 2 year experience. Qualified candidate should be pursuing professional licensure and have a Bachelor's of Science in Civil Engineering with emphasis in Structural Engineering. Necessary skills include hands-on experience using computer-assisted engineering and design software, AutoCAD, Autodesk Revit, and MS applications including Word and Excel; familiarity with current building codes, standards, regulations, and construction methods for building structures; strong oral and written communications skills; ability to work in a team environment; maintain effective communication with project team members and clients.
