Job summary

Trinity Staffing Services is seeking a Structural Engineer to support engineering project completions in Texas. The role emphasizes design and analysis of structures, development of calculation reports, and review of contractor submittals for conformance with structural drawings.

The candidate will produce structural drawings in Revit or AutoCAD, perform 3D modeling, and respond to contractor RFIs. PE license is preferred, with potential to obtain it within 6–9 months.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in civil or mechanical engineering with relevant structural emphasis.
• PE license preferred or ability to obtain license within 6–12 months.
• Experience with structural design and analysis per AISC/ACI and ASCE7/IBC.

Responsibilities

• Design and analyze structures and components.
• Develop design calculation reports.
• Review contractor submittals for conformance with drawings.
• Respond to RFI from contractors.
• Develop structural drawings using Revit or AutoCAD.
• 3D modeling of structures using Revit.
• Other duties as assigned by supervising engineer.

Primary Responsibilities

• Design and analysis of structures and structural components
• Development of design calculation reports
• Review of contractor submittals to ensure conformance structural drawings
• Review and response to contractors' requests for information
• Development of structural drawing using Revit or AutoCAD
• 3D modeling of structures using Revit
• Other duties as assigned by supervising engineer

Required Skills

• Ability to perform hand analysis of basic structures and structural components
• Familiar with AISC steel design and ACI concrete methods and codes

• Familiar with CAD programs and developing structural drawings

Desired Skills

• Read and comprehend contractual construction documents ie: construction drawings, specifications, submittals, construction schedules, sketches
• Experienced designing and analyzing steel structures and components using AISC design methods and codes
• Experienced designing and analyzing steel reinforced concrete foundations and components using ACI design methods and codes
• Experienced developing structural drawings using AutoCAD

Background Requirements

Education:

• Bachelors in civil engineering with emphasis in structures or,
• Bachelors in mechanical engineering with emphasis in finite element analysis or

Other Requirements

• Minimum 4 years with a bachelors degree
• Minimum 2 years with a masters degree
• PE license preferred
• Ability to obtain PE license in 6 to 9 months
