Job summary

Farnsworth Group, Inc. in Illinois seeks a Structural Engineer to deliver customer-oriented design and construction services across the Central Region and nationwide.

You will perform structural analysis and design for buildings, and develop construction documents while coordinating with project teams. The ideal candidate has a Bachelor’s (or Master’s) in Civil/Structural/Architectural Engineering, 5–8 years of experience, and PE/SE licensure is preferred.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s (required) or Master’s degree in Civil, Structural, or Architectural Engineering, with emphasis in structures
• 5-8 years of structural engineering experience
• Professional Engineer (PE) or Structural Engineer (SE) licensure preferred
• Experience with design and construction administration of building structures, preferably both new construction and renovation of existing structures
• Experience designing with steel, concrete, masonry or wood
• Excellent interpersonal, written and verbal communication skills
• Strong team player in a multi-disciplinary environment that can manage and contribute to several projects simultaneously
• Revit and/or AutoCAD proficiency preferred

What You'll Do

• Perform site visits, client meetings, and coordination with the project team.

What You'll Need

Salary Range: $83,000 - $109,000 (Salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, as well as internal and external equity)
