Job summary

DH Glabe & Associates is seeking a qualified Structural Engineer to join our team in San Diego. The role focuses on structural design and investigation for heavy civil and large commercial projects. Responsibilities include drafting, client relations, and site/field meetings, with a design-heavy workflow from inception to completion.

Candidates should have a Civil/Structural Engineering degree and 2+ years post-graduation experience, with E.I. or P.E. credentials preferred.

Qualifications

• B.S. or higher in Civil/Structural Engineering from an accredited program.
• Professional Engineer license (E.I. or P.E.) preferred or required.
• 2+ years post-graduation experience at a professional engineering firm.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and investigations for heavy civil and large commercial projects.
• Engage in drafting, client relations, and project inspections; participate in site meetings.
• Lead project tasks from inception to completion with a design-focused workflow (60% design/calculation, 30% drafting, 10% field visits).

DH Glabe & Associates (www.dhglabe.com) is looking for a well-qualified structural engineer who is interested in becoming the newest member of our team. Thispersonwill work remotely at an office near or inthe city this job listing is posted for. We are specifically seeking a candidate who appreciates variety in their work as we provide services for numerous types of projects and niches within the structural engineering realm.

We are currently in search of an individual to fill the position of Structural Engineer. A candidate who has experience performing structural design and investigation of heavy civil structures and/or large commercial structures is preferred. The responsibilities of this person will include but not be limited to design, engineering, drafting, client relations, project inspections, and site meetings. This person will be responsible for all tasks involved in taking a project from inception to completion. This is primarily a design engineering position where the work consists of 60% engineering & calculations, 30% drafting and 10% field/site visits.

The successful candidate must meet the following requirements:

1. Civil/Structural or related Engineering degree from an accredited institution,
2. 2+ years minimum post-graduation experience working for a professional engineering firm (this does not mean internships),
3. E.I. or P.E,
4. Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office,
5. Proficient in the use of AutoCAD 2016 or later version,
6. Experience with Risa 2D/3D or similar,
7. Solidworks or similar FEA experience a big plus.
