Job summary

DH Glabe & Associates, a growing structural and construction engineering firm, seeks a well-qualified structural engineer near San Diego. The role focuses on design, engineering, drafting, client relations, project inspections, and site meetings, guiding projects from inception to completion.

Candidate should have a Civil/Structural degree, 2+ years post‑graduation experience, EI or PE, and proficiency in AutoCAD and MS Office. We offer a competitive compensation package and full benefits.

Qualifications

• Bachelor level Civil/Structural Engineering degree from an accredited institution.
• Minimum of 2+ years post-graduation experience at a professional engineering firm (not internships).
• EI or PE licensure.
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office suite.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD 2016 or later versions.
• Experience with Risa 2D/3D or similar FEA tools.
• SolidWorks or similar FEA experience is a big plus.

Responsibilities

• Perform structural design and investigation of heavy civil and/or large commercial structures.
• Execute design, engineering and drafting tasks.
• Maintain client relations and coordinate project inspections and site meetings.
• Lead projects from inception to completion with emphasis on design and calculations (60%), drafting (30%), and site visits (10%).

DH Glabe & Associates (www.dhglabe.com) is looking for a well-qualified structural engineer who is interested in becoming the newest member of our team. This person will work remotely at an office near or in the city this job listing is posted for. We are specifically seeking a candidate who appreciates variety in their work as we provide services for numerous types of projects and niches within the structural engineering realm.

We are currently in search of an individual to fill the position of Structural Engineer. A candidate who has experience performing structural design and investigation of heavy civil structures and/or large commercial structures is preferred. The responsibilities of this person will include but not be limited to design, engineering, drafting, client relations, project inspections, and site meetings. This person will be responsible for all tasks involved in taking a project from inception to completion. This is primarily a design engineering position where the work consists of 60% engineering & calculations, 30% drafting and 10% field/site visits.
