Job summary

Titan America LLC is seeking a skilled Structural Engineer to join the Corporate Engineering team in Roanoke, VA. The position provides technical support across TA facilities and requires coordinating inspections, ensuring code compliance, and assisting with permitting and project management.

The successful candidate will have a BS in Structural Engineering, 3–5 years in the field, and may bring familiarity with CAD tools and structural design software. Professional licensure is a plus.

Qualifications

• Minimum of 3-5 years’ experience in Structural Engineering roles, preferably in heavy industrial installations.
• Knowledge of Project Management and CAD packages will be considered a plus.
• Professional license in any state will be considered a plus.

Responsibilities

• Provide technical support and engineering assistance to all Titan America facilities.
• Perform periodic inspections and audits of TA facilities to review conditions and propose repairs or upgrades.
• Ensure code compliance of new buildings and installations; assist in obtaining building and occupancy permits.
• Support Project Managers during design and construction phases of new installations and provide input on budget and schedules.
• Supervise site and soil investigations to aid in foundation design and provide input during permitting and site development phases.
• Assist in evaluating design and construction firms for major projects.

Position Overview:

We are looking for a skilled and motivatedStructural Engineerto join our Corporate Engineering team in Roanoke, VA. This position will be responsible for providing technical support and engineering assistance to all TA facilities.

Responsibilities

• Assets Maintenance
• Perform periodic inspection and auditing of all TA facilities to review condition and propose any additional inspections, necessary repairs and/or upgrades of existing structures
• Keep track of any regulatory changes and building codes for all locations of TA operations project related work
• Provide Structural Engineering support to the Project Management team during design and construction phases of new installations
• Provide input to Project Managers regarding budget and time schedule preparation of major projects
• Supervise site and soil survey works to assist in the proper design and engineering of foundations
• Assist during the permitting and site development phases
• Ensure code compliance of all new buildings and installations and work with Project Managers to issue all necessary building and occupancy permits
• Assist in preparation of all necessary scopes of work for all foundation, concrete, steel, and structural works of major projects. Participate in the evaluation process for the selection of the proper design and construction firms
• Provide supervision during major and critical phases of a project related to Structural Engineering works

Qualifications
