Our client, a leader in assisting home-service contractors, is seeking a dedicated Structural Engineer specializing in residential basements. With a patented system for basement repairs, our organization focuses on providing innovative solutions for stabilizing spaces and waterproofing projects. The ideal candidate will possess strong structural engineering experience, particularly with concrete and steel, and will play a critical role in supporting and enhancing our residential projects.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Design and analyze structural elements related to residential basement repairs, ensuring compliance with applicable codes and regulations.
  • Assess and stabilize existing structural issues in basements, including walls and foundations.
  • Develop waterproofing solutions to prevent water intrusion and related structural damage.
  • Collaborate with home-service contractors to implement effective repair strategies.
  • Provide technical guidance and support throughout the project lifecycle, ensuring high-quality outcomes.
  • Communicate clearly and effectively with clients and contractors, addressing questions and offering technical expertise.

Qualifications:

  • Local candidates from the greater Omaha area are preferred.
    -5-7 years of experience in structural engineering, specifically involving foundational projects.
  • Bachelors degree in Engineering required.
  • Must hold a Professional Engineer (PE) license; candidates with Engineer-in-Training (EIT) certification will be considered if they have the desired qualifications in structural experience, concrete, steel, and residential projects.
  • Preference for experience in residential structural engineering; commercial experience will also be considered.
  • Proven experience with concrete and steel products is highly desirable.
