Job summary

Raley and Associates, Inc. is seeking a motivated Structural Engineer to join our growing team in Louisiana. You will design, analyze, and manage structural projects from concept through construction, ensuring compliance with codes and client specs.

The ideal candidate holds a Civil or Structural Engineering degree, EI certification (PE preferred), and 3–7 years of experience. Strong communication and site-visit capabilities are essential.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering from an accredited university.
• EI certification required; PE license preferred or ability to obtain.
• 3-7 years of relevant engineering experience preferred.
• Strong knowledge of engineering principles, construction methods, and applicable building codes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

Responsibilities

• Design structural engineering projects from concept through completion.
• Prepare engineering calculations, technical reports, and design specifications.
• Develop construction plans and details using AutoCAD and other engineering software.
• Coordinate with architects, surveyors, contractors, and project managers.
• Conduct site visits to verify existing conditions and monitor construction progress.
• Review project drawings for accuracy and code compliance.
• Perform structural analysis and design of concrete, steel, wood, and masonry systems.
• Assist in permitting and regulatory approvals.
• Respond to RFIs during construction.
• Ensure projects are completed on schedule and within budget.

Reports To: Engineering Manager / Principal Engineer

Position Summary

We are seeking a motivated and detail-oriented Structural Engineer to join our growing engineering team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for planning, designing, analyzing, and managing structural

engineering projects while ensuring compliance with applicable codes, regulations, and client specifications.

This position requires strong technical expertise, problem-solving abilities, and excellent communication

skills.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities
