Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural EIT/Designer in Missoula, MT to contribute to structural engineering projects across a range of markets. You’ll conduct analyses, develop design options, and assist in cost estimates while growing within our employee-owned culture.

The role requires a Bachelor’s in Structural Engineering; EIT preferred. Proficiency with Office, AutoCAD, and engineering software is expected. HDR offers comprehensive benefits and a collaborative environment.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in Structural Engineering is required.
• Microsoft Office, AutoCAD, RISA, Staad, SAP, Tedds, RAM, ETABS, SAFE or similar software knowledge is expected.
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must.

Responsibilities

• Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications for structural engineering projects.
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
• Work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects.
• Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications

• Master’s degree
• EIT preferred. Candidates without their EIT will be called a Structural Designer and expected to obtain EIT for career progression.

The expected compensation range for this position depends upon skills, experience, education and geographical location. (Stated benefits are for full-time regular positions. Temporary and part-time roles eligible for limited benefits.) {Missoula, MT}: $65,892 - $89,148
