Job summary

HDR is seeking a Structural EIT/Coordinator in the United States (Washington, Bellevue) to contribute to design analyses and option development for structural engineering projects. You will assist in cost estimates and specifications and work under supervision on small projects while supporting senior engineers on larger initiatives.

• Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications for structural engineering projects.
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures.
• Work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects.
• Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed.
• Perform other duties as needed.

In the role of Structural EIT/Coordinator, we'll count on you to:

• Conduct analyses to develop design options or recommendations and assist in the preparation of cost estimates and specifications for structural engineering projects
• Perform routine engineering assignments requiring application of standard techniques and procedures
• Work independently on small projects or assist more senior engineers on larger projects
• Give direction to clerical and technical personnel as needed
• Perform other duties as needed

Preferred Qualifications:

• Master's degree Knowledge of national design codes and material standards, including IBC, ASCE 7, ACI 318, ACI 350, AISC 360, AISC 341, etc.
• Strong communication and organizational skills
• Ability to handle multiple assignments
• Candidates hired without the EIT will be hired as a Design Coordinator and will be expected to obtain the EIT for career progression. #LI-SG4

Required Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Civil or Structural Engineering
• Previous structural design experience (internship or full-time work experience) is a plus
• An attitude and commitment to being an active participant of our employee-owned culture is a must
