Job summary

Pyramid Consulting, Inc. is seeking a Structural Drafter for a 12-month contract in Fort Washington, PA (Hybrid).

You will develop 2D structural drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD, working closely with engineers and architects to ensure accuracy and compliance with project standards. Applicants should have at least 2 years of structural/architectural drafting experience, an associate degree or equivalent, a valid driver’s license, and a detail-oriented mindset.

Job description

Immediate need for a talented Structural Drafter. This is a 12 months contract opportunity with long-term potential and is located in Fort Washington, PA (Hybrid).

Pay Range: $35/hr - $40/hour. Employee benefits include, but are not limited to, health insurance (medical, dental, vision), 401(k) plan, and paid sick leave (depending on work location).

Key Responsibilities:

• Develop detailed 2D structural drawings and construction documents using AutoCAD software.
• Collaborate with engineers and architects to produce, revise, and maintain accurate construction detail documentation.
• Maintain organized digital files for drawings, markups, and details within current file structure.
• Possibility to learn new skills in residential structural engineering as desire, ability, and time allow.
• Read and interpret architectural and structural plans and markups to develop accurate structural plans (foundation, framing, wall bracing) and construction details for single-family residential projects using AutoCAD
• Adhere to team processes, standards, and schedules.
• Coordinate and collaborate with engineers and architectural staff
• Familiar with AutoCAD software
• Possesses basic knowledge of structural components/construction for buildings
• Strong collaboration and communication skills
• Can work independently with minimal instruction
• Self-motivated to produce and maintain high-quality structural drawings within budgets and timelines

Key Requirements and Technology Experience:

• Minimum of 2 years of experience in structural/architectural drafting for buildings using AutoCAD
• Ability to follow established procedures and meet expectations for accuracy and timeliness
• Valid driver’s license
• Associate Degree or equivalent vocational/technical certification
• Residential wood construction knowledge
