Jobtailor is seeking a Structural Designer in Lombard, IL to join our CAD team. You will perform technical structural design tasks, develop 2D/3D drawings, and gain experience from seasoned colleagues.

The role requires Revit and Navisworks proficiency, ability to create concrete and steel connections, and collaboration across disciplines. Mentoring junior staff and contributing to scope development and budget control are key aspects of the position.

Qualifications

Responsibilities

Perform technical responsibilities of a Structural Designer
Gain structural experience from department colleagues
Conduct field walkdowns with project team
Coordinate project activities between Structural and other disciplines
Mentor less experienced designers and technicians
Assist with Scope Development and budget control for CAD team
Develop and review structural deliverables
Demonstrate proficiency in Revit and Navisworks for 3D modeling
Prepare structural scopes of work and material take-offs
Develop construction drawings and understanding of Plans, Sections, Details, and Piping Isometrics
Adhere to AISC and ACI codes in drawings
Support CAD audits as needed
