Job summary

Affiliated Engineers, Inc. (AEI) is seeking a Structural Designer I for our Overland Park, KS office. You will help design and layout structural components and related systems, supporting power manufacturing and process industries.

You will work with AutoCAD and Revit, producing drawings from 3D models, and collaborate with project managers, engineers, and designers to meet project standards and codes. AEI offers a collaborative environment with growth opportunities and exposure to high-impact

Qualifications

Associate degree in Mechanical, Structural, or Architectural Design or equivalent technical experience.
1 - 5 years of experience in computer aided drafting and design (or something similar).
Experienced with AutoCAD or Revit. Familiarity with AutoCAD Plant 3D and Navisworks a plus.
Ability to collaborate with others (Project Managers, Engineers, and Designers) to apply design codes and specification requirements.
Ability to read, modify, and create process and instrumentation diagrams (P&IDs).
Experience in interpreting structural design criteria and converting into specific layouts.
Generate sketches, plans, sections, and details from a 3D model.
