Job summary

Sargent & Lundy is seeking a CAD Designer to create structural drawings and 3D models for steel and concrete foundations. The role blends in-office collaboration with remote work two days a week in a hybrid setup, and may include relocation assistance depending on location.

Ideal candidates have 5+ years of CAD design experience and proficiency in AutoCAD, MicroStation, Tekla, Revit or SmartPlant 3D, with knowledge of ACI, AISC, OSHA and related standards.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in CAD technology preferred; CAD certificate acceptable if no degree.
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in CAD design for structures.
• Proficiency in major CAD software and knowledge of industry standards.

Description

This role offers a hybrid work arrangement. You'll spend three days a week in the office, giving you the flexibility to work remotely for two days. Dependent upon your location, this opportunity offers a generous relocation package.

This position offers the opportunity to utilize creativity and innovation to develop CAD 3D design models of steel structures and concrete foundations used to produce 2D drawing deliverables.

Responsibilities

• Independently produce structural drawings that are completed on-time and within budget, while maintaining quality, consistency, and accountability that meets or exceeds customer requirements.
• Collaborate with mechanical and electrical designers to resolve clashes within the 3D model, optimizing the overall design. Travel to client facilities may be necessary to verify on-site physical design conditions.
• Adapt to a wide range of technologies in power generation, mining, oil & gas, and renewables. We are leading the charge in carbon capture technologies, while also working in solar, wind, battery storage, hydrogen, and natural gas.

Education and experience

• Associate Degree in Computer Aided Design Technology preferred
• CAD certificate required if non-degreed
• Minimum of 5 years of experience required

Essential skills

Compensation Range

$68,325.00 - $104,385.00
